New York Puzzle Company Puzzle Review
Harry Potter: Dumbledore's Army – 1000 pieces
This puzzle waited quite a while for its turn. I think it was one of the first puzzles I bought when Polish sellers joined Vinted.
📌 Image:
Harry Potter – of course that’s why I bought it 😃😃😃 But the illustration style of the characters felt a bit rough to me. What really won me over was the theme and the fact that I hadn’t tried this brand before.
📌 Box: The box is small but sturdy and high-quality.
📌 Colors: The colors aren’t very vibrant. What surprised me most was the hair color of the girl in front – it looked a bit greenish 😄 While puzzling, I broke it into color sections. The yellow part was the easiest – bright and pretty. Overall, the color impression was a bit “muddy,” but that’s more due to the artwork than print quality.
📌 Puzzle-pieces: Matte finish – so no glare. I mostly puzzled in the evenings, so it was easy on the eyes. The pieces were high quality, with no damage or rough edges. I also loved that there was almost no puzzle dust.
📌 Puzzle-Cut: An American-style Eurographics chaos – truly wild. The pieces were extremely varied, which I had forgotten can really stretch out the process. But the best part was seeing how those crazy shapes came together into the complete image.
📌 Piece Fit: Trying to move even a few pieces was a nightmare – everything would fall apart at the slightest nudge. Especially frustrating when I’d bump it with my elbow or hit it from the side and wreck a whole section… that seriously tested my patience.
📌 Can the puzzle be lifted once assembled? :DD What are we even talking about...
📌 Disassembly:
With such loose fit, there were absolutely no issues breaking it down.
Final thoughts:
Fun! I still have a couple more from this brand and I’ll definitely do them, just probably not in the next six months. To be honest, I don’t even remember which ones I have 😄
