This puzzle intrigued me for a long time, but I was slightly hesitant until curiosity won, and funnily enough, this image turned out to be the warmest of all I’d seen from them.
📌 Image: The Ice Queen. This company clearly loves featuring woman and animals in their artwork. All the girls really stand out with their biiig eyes! A very distinctive drawing style – by now, I’d easily recognize it as a JaCaRou puzzle even without knowing.
📌 Box: High quality and sturdy, with a slight gloss that hints the pieces themselves might be shiny too.
📌 Colors: Coooold! The whole image radiates winter, but the colors are rich, vibrant, and really appealing.
📌 Puzzle-Pieces: Although not the thickest, they’re sturdy. The surface is slightly glossy and a bit slippery, but also has a touch of matte. I really liked the feel of the pieces – there’s a kind of softness to them.
📌 PuzzleCut: Surprising! Very interesting and different. The “nubs” are funny – like little round bumps. The cut definitely made assembly easier, as the puzzle itself wasn’t the easiest. And what a satisfying feeling to place a piece – like, mmm, it fits perfectly!
📌 Piece Fit: They fit together nicely, with no gaps. Pieces click in enjoyably, but not so tightly that they’re hard to separate – I wasn’t worried about damaging anything during disassembly. One of the most satisfying clicks of any puzzle I’ve done recently!
📌 Can it be lifted once assembled?
Yes, definitely – but I wouldn’t recommend moving it too much.
📌 Disassembly: No issues at all.
About the company:
Created in: Canada 🇨🇦
Manufactured in: China 🇨🇳
🎨 Artist: Hannah Lynn.
💰 Price: Used puzzles go for about €25–30. New ones are around $30 but are sold on the other side of the world from me :(
I really liked this puzzle! It was tough – I had to search carefully for where pieces fit – but that didn’t bother me at all. On the contrary, I was happy to enjoy it for longer 😊 I even ended up writing this review bit by bit over a month because I wanted to properly present this brand.
